The Siocon-Philippine National Police has launched hot pursuit operations in Zamboanga del Norte following the abduction by unidentified individuals of two “die-hard” supporters of a mayoralty candidate in the said province.
According to the report, the two abducted victims were both supporters of mayoralty candidate Ceasar Soriano and staff of Barangay Es-arabi Chairman Salam Madyalis.
Five armed individuals wearing bonnets allegedly abducted the two victims who were found fishing when the incident occurred.
It is said that they are stubborn.
The abductees were identified as Jerry Salba who escaped from the hands of his abductors and Terridio Lauria who is now still wanted.
On the other hand, around 8:00 am yesterday, one of the victims had a chance to escape and is now safe.
Authorities in Siocon continue to search for another hostage.
The PNP in Siocon is also investigating the real motive of the abductors.
