The Cavite Police Provincial Office is still investigating the motive behind a parish priest who was found tied up inside a car.
Earlier, the priest was found yesterday Sunday in Silang, Cavite who was reported missing for several days.
According to Silang chief of police, Lt. Col. Juan Peñafiel Oruga Jr., at around 1:30 pm yesterday found the priest in Barangay Lumi with his hand-tied.

It was learned that the said priest was a parish priest of a church in Rosario, Cavite.
Col. said. Oruga said they have not yet been able to obtain a statement from the priest because he is in a “state of shock” and is currently being treated at the hospital.
The Silang PNP is also in contact with the Rosario PNP for an investigation into the incident.
Meanwhile, Lt. Col Ruther Saquilayan, chief of the Rosario Municipal Police Station, was found bound inside his own vehicle and alive the missing priest Rev Fr. Leoben Peregrino, 58.
The priest was last seen in Rosario Cavite on the morning of April 1 before he was reported missing by the police.
Aboard his Mitsubishi Adventure with license plate VES 470, the priest was on his way to Imus, Cavite to buy a candle on the morning of April 1, but since then it has not been returned, until it was found yesterday.
Si Fr. Perigrino has been serving as a parish priest in Rosario, Cavite for six years.
