The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC0) confirmed that two  families were affected by the magnitude 6.4 earthquake in Occidental Mindoro.
So far aftershocks continue to be experienced in parts of Lubang Island after the quake hit yesterday.
Based on data from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology or PHIVOLCS, they have recorded approximately 140 aftershocks in the past 24 hours.
Its strength plays out at magnitude 1.3 to 4.3 with each tremor felt during the said period.
According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), 2 households housing 2 families were affected by the quake, although no casualties were reported.
The NDRRMC continues to warn that aftershocks are still to be expected especially since the quake is tectonic in origin due to the movement of the Manila Trench.
