The Quezon City Memorial Circle turned pink following the holding of Vice President Leni Robredo’s “People’s Proclamation Rally” for his presidential bid, dubbed ‘Pink Sunday.’

Robredo also went to QC City Hall where he was personally winelcome by QC Mayor Joy Belmonte.
Robredo was thankful for the mayor’s warm welcome to him, as well as for the thousands of supporters who attended the proclamation rally, which he said was three times more than their initial projection of only 5,000 attendees.

He said they initially thought they would not be able to reach the expected 5,000 people who would attend the proclamation rally.

“That morning only 5,000 people were expected, I told our team not to put 5,000 because we might not be able to handle the 5,000. It’s okay to say that the supporters are invited, but don’t say the number. It looks like I didn’t listen, ”he added.
“When we went home at night, I was even more nervous because it was already stated, 20,000 was expected. But it is good that they did not comply. Because today, we are well over 20,000 people, ”the presidential aspirant added.

It was learned that at 8:00 in the morning, there were many people in the circle.

According to the crowd estimate of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) at 11:00 a.m., there will be up to 7,000 people in the circle.

Among those who attended the proclamation rally was Robredo’s running mate Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, as well as the senatorial candidates included in their ticket.
