The leadership of the Philippine National Police (PNP) has warned of a possible increase in the number of Covid 19 cases in the country after the number of active cases in their ranks rose by 300 percent within a day.
Based on the latest record of the PNP Health Service, their active Covid 19 cases have risen to twenty today from just five yesterday.
According to PNP Public Information Office (PIO) Chief PBGen. Roderick Augustus Alba, noticed that the rise and fall of their active cases coincided with the recorded cases in the “General populace”.
He said the Joint Task Force Covid Shield discussed the increase in the case of Covid 19 in conjunction with the relaxation of quarantine restrictions.
Therefore, he said, the PNP reminds the public to continue to observe the minimum Public safety standards because the threat of Covid 19 still remains.
