The Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Subic and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) held a meeting on June 8, 2023, to discuss initiatives and enhance collaboration.
During the meeting, District Collector Carmelita Talusan of the BOC – Port of Subic and Chairman and Administrator Jonathan D. Tan of the SBMA demonstrated their commitment to promoting a conducive business environment, enhancing trade facilitation, and ensuring efficient customs processes within the Port of Subic. They engaged in constructive dialogue, addressing various aspects of customs operations and border protection.
The discussions emphasized the significance of establishing a seamless and transparent system that encourages business growth, attracts investments, and contributes to economic development in the region, while also following and implementing the directives of the President.
Both agencies expressed appreciation for the positive outcome of the meeting and committed to further enhancing their coordination and exploring innovative solutions. Together, the BOC – Port of Subic and the SBMA aim to facilitate trade, promote investment, and establish Subic as a premier business and logistics port in the region.

Collector Talusan and the Port of Subic team will continue to collaborate with other government agencies and stakeholders aligned with the reform initiatives of BOC Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio and President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
