
SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — Lawyer Marlon Fritz Broto was the new district collector of the Bureau of Customs – Port of Subic during a formal turnover ceremony held at Port of Subic Building 307 on Wednesday.
The turnover ceremony marked a significant leadership transition and was attended by deputy collectors, unit and division chiefs, and the dedicated men and women of Port of Subic. Broto said the act represented a seamless transition in leadership and reinforced the shared commitment to excellence at the Port of Subic. Broto also expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Bureau of Customs and other key stakeholders who placed their trust in him.
“Thank you, Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio and Deputy Commissioner Vener S. Baquiran,” he said. “I am equally indebted to my predecessor, whose remarkable contributions have shaped the port into what it is today. Their legacy serves as a foundation and an inspiration as we strive for even greater accomplishments.
” The newly installed official also thanked Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose Aliño for the agency’s unwavering support. He added that the agency’s steadfast partnership “will undoubtedly be instrumental in ensuring the success of our shared mission to elevate the Port of Subic to new heights of efficiency, innovation, and global competitiveness.” The district collector also shared his aspirations for the future, emphasizing the values of integrity, collaboration, and operational excellence.
