A courtesy visit was made by Stepan Philippines Quaternaries, Inc. representatives to District Collector Rizalino Jose C. Torralba of the Bureau of Customs-Manila International Container Port (BOC-MICP) on February 26, 2025.
Stepan Philippines manufactures surfactants, which are used in consumer products like laundry detergents, disinfectants, and shampoos. The company also provides customized solutions for the agricultural, oilfield, and construction markets.
The discussion highlighted the importance of having open lines of communication between the private sector and the BOC to address concerns and provide guidance, specifically regarding the proper valuation of imported chemical products.
District Collector Torralba welcomed the delegation, emphasizing the Bureau’s advocacy for seamless trade facilitation while ensuring transparency, accuracy, and strict implementation of customs laws and policies.
