District Collector Alexander Gerard E. Alviar presided over the Division Heads Meeting of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Manila (POM) on August 20, bringing together the Port’s Division Chiefs, Support Offices, and Subport Collectors. The meeting underscored a unified commitment to operational excellence and strategic alignment.

Collector Alviar lauded the POM team for their outstanding collection performance in the previous month, commending their dedication to surpassing the port’s revenue targets.

Key agenda items included updates on collection performance, port operations, and other vital administrative and operational concerns.

Alviar also conveyed directives and insights from BOC Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno, which were shared during the recent Collectors’ Conference in Clark. The Commissioner highlighted the importance of good governance, improved operational efficiency, enhanced enforcement, and stronger stakeholder engagement.

The Port of Manila reaffirmed its commitment to the Bureau’s strategic direction and to maintaining the highest standards of public service.
