The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) fired the opening salvo of its 122nd Anniversary Week with a powerful display of discipline, accountability, and renewed public service as 195 newly promoted employees took their oath in a nationwide ceremony led by Commissioner Atty. Charlito Martin R. Mendoza.
With this year’s theme, “Husay at Dangal ng Lingkod Bayan ng BIR,” the mass oath-taking was more than a ceremonial event—it was a declaration that the country’s tax agency is raising the standards of public service and demanding excellence from every official entrusted with higher responsibility.
Delivering a firm and uncompromising message, Commissioner Mendoza reminded every promotee that a promotion is not a privilege to enjoy but a responsibility to uphold.

The Commissioner emphasized that every promotion carries a greater obligation to protect public trust, strengthen tax administration, and deliver faster, cleaner, and more efficient government service to millions of Filipino taxpayers.
A total of 195 employees took their oath—114 at the BIR National Office and 81 virtually from Revenue Regions across the country—symbolizing a united workforce committed to reform, professionalism, and national development.
Under Commissioner Mendoza’s leadership, the BIR continues to advance its DARES Reform Agenda, empowering employees while institutionalizing service excellence, accountability, and people-centered governance.
