District Collector Alexander Gerard E. Alviar of the Bureau of Customs (BOC) Port of Manila (POM), along with Deputy Collectors Florante P. Ricarte and Atty. Gerard N. Turiano, held a productive meeting with officials from the Philippine Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (CCBI) on June 10.

The CCBI delegation, led by its National President, Atty. Norberto Castillo presented various operational and procedural issues currently faced by licensed customs brokers.

Collector Alviar emphasized the agency’s commitment to engaging with stakeholders to enhance transparency, compliance, and the overall efficiency of customs processes at the Port of Manila.

The POM team welcomed the concerns raised by the CCBI and assured them that the Bureau remains open to collaborative solutions.

This dialogue reaffirms the BOC’s dedication to continuously improving customs operations and facilitating trade while upholding regulatory integrity, in line with the directives of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio
