A new generation of warriors has been unleashed.

In a ceremony charged with patriotism, discipline, and a thunderous call to duty, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. led the historic 47th Commencement Exercises of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) on March 27, 2026 at Camp General Mariano N. Castañeda.

With 326 newly minted officers, the SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026 marched out of the academy not just as graduates—but as battle-ready guardians of justice, integrity, and national security.

And the message from the Commander-in-Chief was loud and uncompromising.

⚡ CLEAN THE RANKS. RESTORE THE BADGE.

Standing before the nation’s newest police officers, President Marcos delivered a hard-hitting directive: rebuild public trust and defend the honor of the uniform.

“Be the reason our citizens feel safe wherever they may be,” the President declared, reminding the cadets that the badge they now wear represents the hopes of millions of Filipinos.

Marcos did not mince words. He challenged the graduates to purge corruption, uphold discipline, and prove that the Philippine National Police remains worthy of the people’s trust.

“The true strength of the police force lies in the honor and principles of its members,” he stressed.

⚔️ REMULLA: THE NATION DEMANDS INTEGRITY

Also present was Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla, who has been spearheading reforms to strengthen law enforcement institutions.

Remulla underscored the government’s push for a disciplined, accountable, and community-centered police force, reminding the graduates that their service begins the moment they step out of the academy gates.

🛡️ LAW ENFORCEMENT LEADERS RALLY BEHIND NEW OFFICERS

Joining the ceremony were key pillars of the country’s law enforcement leadership:

• NAPOLCOM Commissioner Atty. Rafael Vicente Calinisan
• PNP Chief, Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil Nartatez
• PNPA Director PMGen. Andre Perez Dizon

Together, they witnessed the rise of a new corps of officers expected to carry the torch of reform, discipline, and public service.

🎖️ LEYTE PROUD: FEMALE CADET TOPS PNPA

Stealing the spotlight was Police Cadet Van Marie Editha Gundaya Cagasan, a 24-year-old pride of Baybay City, Leyte, who emerged as Top 1 of the SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026.

Cagasan did not just graduate—she dominated the academy.

She took home the academy’s most coveted distinctions:

🏆 Presidential Kampilan Award
🏆 Chief, PNP Kampilan Award
🏆 Best in General Education

Her triumph sends a powerful message: the future of Philippine law enforcement is bold, brilliant—and fearless.

💥 NEW GUARDIANS OF THE REPUBLIC

For four grueling years, these cadets endured relentless training—physical punishment, academic pressure, and leadership trials designed to forge them into officers worthy of the nation’s trust.

Now, they carry the title “Iskolar ng Bayan”—servants of the people sworn to protect the Republic.

And as they step into the frontlines of national security, the challenge from Malacañang echoes loudly:

⚡ Defend the law.
⚡ Protect the people.
⚡ Restore honor to the badge.

The SILANG-PAGLAOM Class of 2026 now marches into history—326 strong, battle-tested, and ready to secure the future of the Philippines.
