The Bureau of Customs-Manila International Container Port (BOC-MICP) strengthened its collaboration with industry partners by conducting its 7th Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC) meeting on 25 June 2025, at the Patio Victoria in Intramuros, Manila, hosted by the Philippine Chamber of Customs Brokers, Inc. (PCCBI).

Featured during the forum is the presentation of Dr. Romy Lloyd D. So, Assistant Chief of Customs Container Control Division, who shared the 5-Point Priority Program for 2025 of Commissioner Bienvenido Y. Rubio and discussed an overview of Customs Administrative Order No. 02-2025.
Moreover, the Port has introduced the Board of Investments-Investments Assistance Service as the newest industry partner of MICP, which will join the roster of the Port’s industry partners across various sectors and institutions.


Atty. Norberto V. Castillo, National President of PCCBI, delivered his message, stating that PCCBI is honored and pleased to have invited and hosted the CICAC meeting for the first time. “This assembly and stakeholders’ engagement proved extremely relevant, because it provides avenues where sectors can discuss issues and propose improvements in customs processes“, he added.

In his concluding remarks, MICP District Collector Rizalino Jose C. Torralba recognized all stakeholders and industry partners of the Port present in the meeting stating, “Your presence, insights, and shared experiences are invaluable to our collective efforts to improve revenue collection, strengthen border control through regulatory compliance, and foster greater transparency and cooperation between the public and private sectors to facilitate secured trade.”
