Cagayan de Oro City — The Bureau of Customs – Collection District X, under the leadership of District Collector Atty. Manuel O. Zurbito, Jr., surpassed its revenue targets for both March 2026 and the first quarter of the year, reflecting sustained collection efficiency and strong operational performance.

Data released during the Port’s first flag-raising ceremony in April showed that the Port of Cagayan de Oro generated ₱3,469,321,718.99 in March collections, exceeding its assigned target of ₱3,165,377,162.70. This resulted in a surplus of ₱303,944,556.29, or a 9.60 percent positive deviation.
For the period of January to March 2026, the Port recorded cumulative collections amounting to ₱10,693,937,033.57, surpassing its target of ₱9,618,283,942.91 by ₱1,075,653,090.66, equivalent to an 11.18 percent positive deviation.
In his remarks, Collector Zurbito attributed the Port’s performance to the collective efforts of its personnel, emphasizing that discipline, coordination, and accountability remain central to achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
To recognize these contributions, Certificates of Commendation were awarded to employees who played key roles in the Port’s revenue generation efforts.
The latest figures underscore the Port’s continued contribution to national revenue collection and highlight the results of strengthened enforcement and operational strategies under Zurbito’s leadership.
With consistent gains in the first quarter, Collection District X is positioned to sustain its upward trajectory in the succeeding months of 2026.
