SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — The Bureau of Customs (BOC)–Port of Subic has intensified its enforcement campaign after conducting a comprehensive warehouse inspection at Enjoy Electronics Subic International Corporation, sending a clear warning to violators of customs laws and regulations.

Led by District Collector Dir. Arnaldo M. Saulong, the inspection on April 16, 2026 formed part of the port’s strengthened monitoring efforts aimed at ensuring full compliance among locators, importers, and stakeholders operating within the Freeport.

The inspection team closely examined warehouse operations, including inventory systems, storage procedures, shipment records, and supporting documentation. Officials verified whether imported goods were properly declared, accurately recorded, and managed in accordance with existing customs rules.

Authorities said the move is part of a broader crackdown against possible irregularities such as misdeclaration, undervaluation, and unauthorized movement of goods—violations that can result in substantial losses in government revenue.

Collector Saulong said the Port of Subic remains committed to maintaining strict compliance standards while continuing to support legitimate business activities.

“The Bureau will continue to enforce customs laws firmly while ensuring that lawful trade is facilitated efficiently,” Saulong said.

The inspection also supports the Bureau’s 5-Point Priority Program, particularly in the areas of border protection, revenue collection, transparency, and stronger enforcement measures.

Under Saulong’s leadership, the Port of Subic has stepped up regular inspections and audits to strike a balance between trade facilitation and regulatory control.

Business groups in the Freeport have welcomed the effort, noting that consistent enforcement helps create a fair and competitive environment for compliant enterprises.

BOC officials stressed that further inspections and compliance checks will continue as part of the agency’s drive to secure the country’s borders, protect state revenues, and promote responsible trade practices.
