CAVITE — A new chapter in fire protection leadership has officially begun in Cavite as the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) formally turned over the command of the province’s fire service, signaling a renewed push for stronger fire prevention, faster emergency response, and uncompromising public safety.
At the helm of the significant transition was FSSUPT BERNARD R. ROSETE, DSC, Acting Regional Director of the BFP Region IV-A, who graciously facilitated the Ceremonial Turnover of Command—underscoring the regional leadership’s vital role in ensuring continuity, discipline, and operational readiness within the organization.
The ceremony formally marked the relinquishment of duties and responsibilities by FSSUPT NONILON L. MACASADIA II, DSC, outgoing Provincial Fire Marshal of Cavite, and the assumption of command by FSUPT GENALYN TANTINGCO CABASAL, DSC, the province’s new fire service chief.
ROSETE AT THE HELM: LEADERSHIP TRANSITION, PUBLIC SAFETY FIRST!
With FSSUPT ROSETE facilitating the turnover, the BFP Region IV-A reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a strong, responsive, and disciplined fire protection force.
The command transition is more than a ceremonial exchange of authority. It represents the continuing responsibility of the BFP to protect lives, secure properties, strengthen fire prevention campaigns, and respond decisively when emergencies strike.
Under regional leadership, the challenge remains clear: keep fire stations ready, personnel prepared, and emergency response operations focused on the safety of every community.
CABASAL TAKES COMMAND: CAVITE’S FIRE SERVICE FACES NEW CHALLENGE!
Now carrying the mantle of leadership as Provincial Fire Marshal, FSUPT GENALYN TANTINGCO CABASAL, DSC, assumes a critical responsibility in safeguarding one of the country’s rapidly developing provinces.
Her new post puts her at the forefront of the province’s fire prevention and emergency response efforts, with public safety, operational preparedness, and effective coordination among the priorities confronting the Cavite fire service.
The challenge is enormous—and the expectations are high.
From fire prevention inspections and public awareness campaigns to emergency preparedness and rapid response, the provincial fire service must remain vigilant, particularly as communities grow and the demands on emergency responders increase.
For Cabasal, the command turnover signals the beginning of a demanding leadership mission: sustain operational readiness, strengthen the delivery of fire protection services, and ensure that the BFP remains prepared when Cavite residents need help most.
CONTINUITY OF COMMAND, UNWAVERING DUTY!
The successful turnover underscores the BFP’s commitment to a smooth transfer of authority while sustaining its core mission of protecting lives and property.
As Rosete leads at the regional level and Cabasal assumes command in Cavite, the public will look to the fire service for leadership that translates into concrete results—prepared personnel, dependable emergency response, stronger fire prevention, and communities better equipped to face disasters.
In fire protection, leadership is not measured by the ceremony or the position held, but by lives protected, emergencies handled, and communities kept safe.
The command has changed hands. The mission remains relentless: PROTECT LIVES. PREVENT FIRES. SERVE THE PEOPLE!
